Testing Results

We have tested our Sleep Sure pillows in our own lab using a manometer to measure the suction force required to draw air through the pillow.

The force, or suction, is measured and recorded in various places across each pillow. The average is then recorded and used to make comparison on the “Breathability” of each pillow. The lower the number the more “Breathable” it is.

Testing Protocol

  • 3 pillows were used; Shop bought pillow (control), leading competitor, Sleep Sure

  • Each pillow is placed on a flat, non-porous surface (To simulate how it would be positioned on a bed)

  • The tube (measuring 100mm diameter) of the manometer is placed on the surface of the pillow

  • Air is drawn through the tube to create a suction force (To simulate taking a breath)

  • The force required to draw air through is measured using mm of H2O.

Testing proved the Sleep Sure anti-suffocation pillow to be 2.79 times more “Breathable” than the nearest competitor and an amazing 24.14 times more “Breathable” than a standard shop bought memory foam pillow!
